Police in Belgium arrested five people after two raids in connection to deadly attacks in Paris.

At the first checkpoint, Attou and Amri were asked by police if they had “consumed” any substances. Police said no guns or explosives were found at either location.

French police stopped the vehicle three times as they drove to Belgium, one of the men’s lawyers revealed last month, unaware one of the attacks suspects was in the auto.

Detectives now believe he has absconded back to Syria to rejoin Islamic State, with other reports say he is in Morocco.

“The police said it was not good, but it was not the priority today”, he added.

Abdeslam sent a text message asking Attou and Amri to come for him, and they found him “agitated… uneasy… unwell”, the source said. The third time, Mr Abdeslam even gave his real address yet police still let them go.

On November 13, a series of seven terrorist attacks in Paris left 130 people dead. Investigators have concluded that the attacks were followed minute by minute by one or several unidentified suspects in Belgium.
