Trump demands apology from Clinton on debate quip

Clinton made the claim during Saturday night’s Democratic debate, but a spokeswoman later said they did not have a specific video of ISIS using clips of Trump disparaging Muslims, but instead pointed to social media comments from ISIS recruiters. “She should apologize”, Trump said on the “Today” show Monday.

“I will demand an apology from Hillary”.

“We also need to make sure that the really discriminatory messages that Trump is sending around the world don’t fall on receptive ears”, Clinton said during the debate. “She lies like insane about everything – whether it’s trips where she was being gunned down in a helicopter, or an airplane”.

Trump added in a tweet Monday morning that Clinton’s claim was “disgusting”. She went further and claimed that ISIS uses Trump in recruiting videos. He argued that since Trump appears on television in the Middle East, he is likely being used to inflame Muslims.

The New York Times reported that there was no evidence to support Clinton’s claim.

“For now, it seems that Clinton has turned speculative left-of-center rhetoric into fact”, PolitiFact wrote. “The Clinton campaign did not provide any evidence that this is already happening-only that it could be happening, or that it may in the future”.

A four-minute video released by ISIS last month, entitled “No Respite”, includes an image of Bill Clinton, who is called a “fornicator” – a reference to his affair with White House intern Monica Lewinsky, among many others. In the poll, “none” was the most common response when asked, “which Democratic candidate is best suited to handle terrorism?” At one point, Hillary claimed that a small portion of her campaign funds have come from the financial sector, claiming she gets more donations from teachers than from Wall Street.
