Miss Colombia, Ariadna Gutierrez, thought she had won but a chagrined Harvey held up the card with official results showing that Gutierrez was first runner-up.

A few minutes after announcing Miss Colombia as the victor of the pageant, the show’s host Steve Harvey walked back on stage. “We congratulate Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach as Miss Universe 2015”. “The first runner-up is Colombia”.

The sudden reversal even caught by the president by surprise, forcing him to reverse his initial celebratory tweet. The event was held on the same night police said one person died and at least 26 were hurt after a woman deliberately and repeatedly rammed her auto into pedestrians on the packed Las Vegas Strip, not far from the Miss Universe venue.

Host Harvey announced that Miss Colombia had won, but the actual victor was Miss Philippines.

On the other hand, Pia is equally recovering from the shock and the ecstatic feel of the crown being placed on her head is slowly sinking in.

“Miss Universe 2015 is Philippines”, Harvey said, ending the suspense.

“Colombians! The most lovely in the world”, wrote Santos.

“The excitement of live TV was evident tonight on the MISS UNIVERSE® stage with over 10 million live fan votes tabulated”.

“I was very happy for Miss Colombia because she really deserved it”, she said. Shes standing there with all of the lights on her and shes still wearing the crown and the sash declaring her the victor and Philippines isnt bitchy enough to ask for the crown. He also tweeted that Harvey’s mistake wouldn’t have happened if he still was involved in the pageant.

“It’s very, very 2015”, Alonzo Wurztbach said.

“Mafias are everywhere. They stole the title”, said Efrain Salinas, a doorman in a Bogota apartment building. He owned up to the mistake, and the correct contestant received the crown before the Fox telecast ended Sunday night.
