Arsenal beats title rival Man City 2-1 in Premier League
They are unbeaten in their last six matches and five of Arsenal‘s last six top-flight title wins have seen them in second place at Christmas, including two of their three Premier League titles.

“We have good desire to improve and we earned the right to win in these games”.
“We will continue to fight for the title”. “It is too early to say to win the league but it strengthens our belief”.
The 32-year-old also felt City could have taken a point against Arsene Wenger’s team. Ozil now has 15 assists to his name in just 17 games in the league this season.
“I was cautious [to play him] because had a chest infection on the weekend, but he is stronger now”. “So for a guy who could not prepare well, he has done extremely well physically”.
“In our team, most of the time, Ozil is this player”.
“He is much more mature and is much more keen to take on responsibility. When you see Wilfried Bony and Jesus Navas coming on you know they can make a difference”.
We played better than Arsenal but the first shot they had was the first goal.
“I am uncomfortable because we played better than Arsenal”, Pellegrini told the BBC.
“I am very happy with the character and the personality of the team – we didn’t deserve this”, said Pellegrini. Before that we had a clear option to score and we didn’t score.
Theo Walcott opened the scoring for Arsenal barely a minute later.
“Mesut Ozil is very modest!”
Big-money summer signing Kevin de Bruyne summed up their evening in north London as he kicked the corner flag when trying to take a short corner, before missing the target just moments before Walcott’s opener.
However, that wasn’t to be the case as Arsenal held on for what could be a massive win in the race for the 2015/2016 Premier League crown.
“Sanchez will be back around January 10”. We have got the hard game out of the way, and with Southampton, Bournemouth and Newcastle to come, without Sanchez, there is no reason why we can’t keep the momentum going.
Such was the sheer quality of Toure’s goal, it was no surprise that his teammates were shocked by it, to the extent that they nearly gifted Arsenal a third straight from kick-off.
City generated more possession after the break, and halved the Gunners’ lead when Yaya Toure guided the ball into the top corner.
“We had the chances to kill the game but didn’t so when they came back to 2-1, we were a little bit under pressure. If he scores, we are all applauding him”, he said.
“You’re talking about one of your major players, one of your leaders in a dressing room; that’s unbelievably selfish that, the way he’s played tonight”.

Former Gunners striker and legend Thierry Henry was equally critical of Yaya Toure. I personally think he is built on his physical attributes and commitment. You get the sense that a point won’t be the worst result for either team, especially with the chance that Leicester will not be able to sustain their incredible pace.
