Tesla Model S Owners Now Get Free In-Car Spotify
The carmaker has not said whether Spotify will be offered in the U.S. The carmaker was left in need of a replacement music service in certain markets after Rdio recently collapsed, and sold its assets to Pandora.

Tesla Model S and Model X drivers can take a break from swimming in their Scrooge McDuck-style cash vault this festive season to enjoy some free music.
Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) will start offering its owners with another noteworthy upgrade from Monday, as it has joined hands with a British music streaming service provider Spofify, according to the Telegraph. Each auto has a built-in Spotify Premium account that will work only with that vehicle, although users will have the option to link their existing account if they choose. Furthermore, those who have their own paid Spotify Account can port over their data and playlists to the one in their Tesla.
Owners will first press a button on their steering wheel or on the car’s touch-screen display to activate voice control, and then they will be able to access Spotify’s 30 million track library.
It’s a pretty big deal for Spotify.
Tesla’s Spotify integration replaces the company’s former partnership with Rdio, the music streaming service that all Model S owners used to get access to.

However, the feature is now only available only to Tesla owners in Europe, Australia, and Hong Kon.
