Patriots return to form, manhandle Texans

In a Patriots family reunion on Sunday night, the New England Patriots and Houston Texans played in a game which held significant play-off implications for both teams.

Guus Hiddink Reveals Desire to Hire Didier Drogba as His Assistant
He said: “It’s down to him to come in and pick us up”. “It is all in the past and we have to move on and start winning matches”. Chelsea captain John Terry believes interim manager Guus Hiddink can help lead his team near the Premier League’s top four.

Martin, who had three receptions for 23 yards, muffed a punt early in the third quarter, with the Patriots leading, 20-6, and the Texans taking over at the New England 21.

The Houston Texans lost their second straight game on Sunday night and may have also lost quarterback Brian Hoyer for next week’s pivotal game.

Broncos’ scenario: From No. 1 seed to missing playoffs
The Broncos didn’t even get back in Pittsburgh territory in the second half until there was about three minutes left in the game. Head coach Mike Tomlin said after the game that the fundamental adjustment was that the team “stopped kicking (their) own butt”.

When the Patriots blew a 14-point lead in a surprise loss to the Eagles last week, they fell from the AFC’s top seed to third in the playoff order. Hoyer finished his day with 11 completions in 22 attempts for 155 yards passing, and the Texans couldn’t do a thing in the red zone all night.

The Patriots looked more like the Patriots this week than they’ve looked in awhile, probably because tight end Rob Gronkowski finally made his return to the lineup-and with four catches for 87 yards and a touchdown, Gronkowski wasted no time making a big impact. The Texans gained seven first downs and 189 yards in the entire game, and that’s not going to beat the Patriots under any circumstances.

“I was expecting whatever the coaches call”, Gronkowski told NBC’s Michele Tafoya after the game.

“Offensive football is always trust and anticipation and certainly there is nobody that I trust more than Gronk”, Brady said. We got some good plays out of each group. Gronkowski produced a 45-yard reception to set up the first New England touchdown and scored over Texans safety Quintin Demps for the second.

“I think in particular the White play it goes back to the whole issue of the angle of the camera and was his heel actually on the white or was his toe on the ground and his heel above the white, how close it was”, Belichick said on Monday’s conference call.

Much of the talk leading into the game was the reunion of sorts, with a number of former Patriots now employed by the Texans.

“As a defense, as a team, we wanted to come out and play some good football”. “And I think I just would say what I’€™ve said many times before that I think because of the plays on the sideline, on the goal line and on the end line that the league ought to have cameras there”.

When Dion Lewis went out for the season, the team looked to have a glaring hole on third down.

The color of the black cast surrounding Texans star defensive end J.J. Watt’s broken left hand matched his dark mood. “We are trying to win and lead up to more wins, so hopefully we can get the ball back rolling”.

So the Patriots avoided their first three-game losing streak in 13 years. We left Malcolm in a lot of single situations and that was competitive but you know, you’ve got to double Hopkins.
