Kobe Bryant Injury: Updates on Lakers Star’s Shoulder and Return
The Los Angeles Lakers were completely dismantled by the Oklahoma City Thunder in a 118-78 blowout loss. “Those guys looked like they were scared tonight or intimidated by [Kevin] Durant and [Russell] Westbrook”, Scott said, referencing the two Thunder stars. This just feels like another lost season for so many players on this team, while the franchise keeps everything on hold just so one player can get one last shot at glory, while the others are starving for a coach who can actually teach them something.

“I guess it was a more thunderous dunk than we all thought”, Bryant told reporters after the Lakers were blown out 115-85 Saturday in Oklahoma City.
“I don’t know if a lot of them understood the objective in us doing that”, Scott said.
Even with Bryant’s stronger play, the team has only won just one game in that time span, showing that even feeling good, his play is not to the level to carry the team.
“Then I jumped and I was like, ‘Oh, I’m still going up.’ Then I said, ‘I might as well give it a try, ‘” Bryant continued.
One drive saw him spin around Lakers forward Julius Randle and go up for a dunk that helped Durant finish the first quarter with 14 points. “We didn’t have any energy”.
Chicago center Pau Gasol, who played 48 minutes against Detroit, didn’t make the trip.
This wasn’t a classic Jones game where he scores 20 points or collects 10 rebounds, but Jones was pretty much the only reason the Lakers didn’t overtake the Rockets in the quarter. Westbrook scored just 13 points but managed a double-double (11 assists) against the young LA guards, while Durant poured in 22 points on 13 shots.
The 6-foot-8, 240-pound James was scrambling for a loose ball in the fourth quarter when he plowed into her as she sat in a courtside side.
Forward Terrence Jones had 13 of his 16 points in the second half, and forward Trevor Ariza and guard Patrick Beverley chipped in 13 apiece as the Rockets (13-14) ended a two-game slide.
Brown, a seldom-used rookie, started in Bryant’s place against Durant.
As Kobe Bryant’s career comes to an end, the Lakers superstar is taking stock of his career. This was the largest margin of victory for the Thunder this season.
Unfortunately for those who dished out the big bucks for a seat, Bryant was a last-minute scratch from the starting lineup due to a sore shoulder.

Before Saturday, the Lakers worst loss came a week earlier in a 29-point blowout in Houston, the final stop on an eight-game trip.
