Harry Potter author says she “loves black Hermione”
The announcement that actor Noma Dumezweni would play the crazy-haired Hermoine in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child may have divided fans, but cast members of the original movie franchise have been more supportive of the casting. This time, the three wizards-now adults-will be played by Jamie Parker (as Harry), Paul Thornley (Ron), and Noma Dumezweni as Hermione.

Rowling said on Pottermore that she was “so excited” about the new castings for the play, and fans echoed her sentiments. White skin was never specified. The tweet now has 55,000 retweets and likes, and has garnered a mixture of support and criticism from fans.
Rowling was pointed out that, while white actress Emma Watson played Hermione in the films, there is nothing in the canon of the books that explicitly describes Hermione as white, black, or otherwise, and stated that she “loves black Hermione”. Some fans also theorise that it could be the result of a spell. When he is not writing, he can usually be found chilling at the Korova Milk Bar, mingling with the infamous. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will receive its world premiere in London’s West End at the Palace Theatre in the summer of 2016 and is the eighth story in the Harry Potter series and the first official Harry Potter story to be presented on stage. “Rowling loves black Hermione”, she wrote on Twitter. “I can’t wait to see Jamie, Noma and Paul bring the adult Harry, Hermione and Ron to life on stage next summer”.
All three are seasoned pros, with Dumezweni having previously won an Olivier Award for her role in A Raisin in the Sun.
