Peyton Manning calls Ian Rapoport’s report “bulls**t”
Peyton Manning, moving away from his typical stoic temperament, clearly was angered by a report Sunday from NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport that said Manning has no interest in serving as Brock Osweiler’s backup when he’s healthy enough to play again. However, Osweiler’s left (non-throwing) shoulder injury could impact how the Broncos structure practice in the coming week.

I guess it’s up to you whether you believe Manning, who I’m sure really wants to be out there despite what he says.
Kubiak did not name an official starter for the Bengals game because he had not met with Osweiler or Manning as of early Monday afternoon. Osweiler’s been competent since taking over, but not so great that he invariably keeps the job over a healthy Peyton Manning-but there’s no guarantee that this version of Manning will be anywhere near even last year’s version.
The NFL Network report focused primarily on the obvious reality that Manning doesn’t want to be a backup. Manning suffered a tear in the plantar fascia near his left heel in the Broncos’ Nov. 8 loss to the Colts.
Manning practiced on a limited basis last Wednesday and Thursday, then sat out Friday because he felt soreness in his foot. He didn’t slide on the play, but still closed out the drive with his third touchdown pass of the game, to Demaryius Thomas.
“Our execution in the second half yesterday was poor”.
Coach Gary Kubiak called it “an fantastic gut check”, and said “nobody knew until after the game”.

Peyton Manning responded to a report saying that he does not want to be a backup quarterback on the Denver Broncos with some very strong words.
