San Francisco area police arrest man in threats to Muslims
A 55-year-old California man who wrote he’d follow Donald Trump “to the end of the world” in a Facebook post in October was arrested Sunday on suspicion of making bombs to target Muslims.

According to a police statement Sunday evening, officers received a tip last Thursday about a man who had said he wanted to harm local Muslim community members.
Following up, detectives learned the man might have made an explosive device at his home.
A bomb squad detonated the device shortly after 6 p.m., police said.
Front-runner in the polls ahead of the Republican primaries in 2016, Donald Trump, called for a complete ban on Muslims entering the U.S.in the wake of the San Bernardino attack in which 14 people were killed by two suspected Daesh sympathizers.
Detectives and a SWAT team found the possible explosive when they served a search warrant to search at his home on the 5100 block of Mcbryde Avenue in Richmond.
Richmond Police Capt. Mark Gagan told the newspaper that they are still investigating if Celli meant to commit any acts of violence, but his actions at the mosque rattled worshippers enough to photograph Celli in his vehicle.

Celli posted more recently that he had more free time than usual, and he frequently complained that he had not been sleeping well. He is in custody at the County Jail in Martinez on $525,000 bail, according to the facility.
