SpaceX Succeeds In Historic Rocket Launch, Landing
SpaceX successfully landed its powerful Falcon 9 rocket in an upright position at Cape Canaveral, an historic first in the company’s bid to make reusable rockets.

Monday’s mission was the first after a SpaceX rocket en route to the International Space Station exploded over the summer.
The technology has the potential to slash the cost of exploration, especially for launches, as rockets will no longer have to be used just once and then discarded in the sea.
The rocket carried its 11 satellite payload into orbit as well as returning and landing on solid ground back at NASA launch site Cape Canaveral in Florida.

With Elon Musk as preoccupied with commercial space travel as he is with popularizing electric vehicles, perfecting reusable rockets remains an integral part of SpaceX’s vision to provide affordable space travel to the masses.
It took a bit of trial and error, but SpaceX has finally pulled it off – the Falcon 9 rocket is officially a reusable piece of space tech.
What made this flight so special is what happened once the rocket had breached our atmosphere the first stage of rocket returned to earth to land.
A new deep cryo liquid oxygen fuel system featuring cooler, denser propellant, as well as several engine upgrades, translated into a 33 per cent overall performance boost for the Falcon 9 that launched tonight.
“All 11 ORBCOMM satellites have been deployed in nominal orbits”.
Elon Musk and his SpaceX team have edged closer to making space travel more affordable after successfully launching and returning a rocket to Earth. “It’s the first one we’ve brought back”.
“Congrats SpaceX on landing Falcon’s suborbital booster stage”.

While Bezos has fired shots at Musk this time around, it was the Tesla boss who originally kicked things off, pointing out the difference between “orbital” and “suborbital” flights.
