He told philboxing.com: ‘Courage is grace under pressure – this is what Pia showed in the middle of the confusion and controversy that marked her coronation as the new Miss Universe. Miss Colombia Ariandna Miss Colombia was forced to hand over her crown to Pia Wurtzbach in not so pleasant moment.
The Miss Universe organization issued a statement on Sunday night for the mix-up without placing blame on any particular individual. “We girls first ran to Colombia to console her so she didn’t have that congratulatory work that the Miss Universe normally [gets]”, the 25-year-old Australian beauty said.
Harvey has since apologized for his mistake, both during the telecast and on Twitter, but not everyone has been as forgiving as Miss Colombia and Miss Philippines.
Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez (L) is mistakenly crowned Miss Universe 2015 by Miss Universe 2014 Paulina Vega (R) during the 2015 MISS UNIVERSE show at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, in Las Vegas, California, on December 20, 2015. After she was de-crowned she says it was an incredibly tearful time backstage. “For me Miss France is the real victor”, she said in an interview uploaded to Facebook page Missosology. “She looked spectacular. It was such a disappointment when the host said he’d made a mistake”, he said.
And for her part, Miss Colombia composed herself to give a very classy concession speech.
“Very sad what happened last night at the Miss Universe Pageant.
The photos are there to prove it. To me, as a Colombian, she is still Miss Universe”.
He wrote: “I had the chance to apologize to Miss Philippines and I’m thankful. I’m so sorry to say that”.

But the biggest, most devastating blast came from former Miss Universe owner Donald Trump.
