Marshawn Lynch won’t practice this week
Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said that he thinks there’s a “really good chance” Lynch will be back by the end of the regular season, just in time for playoffs.

So that means the Seahawks will again play Sunday against St. Louis without Lynch, and presumably with the same tailback trio as Sunday against Cleveland, when Christine Michael emerged getting most of the carries in a 30-13 win over the Browns.
Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch, recovering from surgery associated with a sports hernia injury, is not returning to practice this week. “I thought that Christine did a nice job and Bryce did a nice job of pounding the football at it. It’s kind of like we’re starting over with the guys”.
The St. Louis Rams and Seattle Seahawks square off Sunday afternoon at CenturyLink Field.
Carroll said that the team would likely deploy their running backs the same way in Week 16 that they did in Sunday’s win over the Browns. In the last five games, Baldwin has put up 344 yards and 10 touchdowns.
-RUSHING OFFENSE: B. Even without Marshawn Lynch and Thomas Rawls, the Seahawks rushed for 182 yards against Cleveland – 127 of those yards coming from players that were not on the roster last Sunday. He ran harder and with more objective than he ever did for two, frustrating season and this past summer’s preseason, before the Seahawks gave up on him and traded him to Dallas.
Carroll said he could see that in Michael’s running against Cleveland.
Michael said following Sunday’s win he realizes the opportunity he now has with Lynch out indefinitely.
Michael led the way with 84 yards on 16 carries, and Brown had 43 yards on nine carries. He mentioned the complimentary styles the quick-footed Michael has with Brown, more of a “downhill” runner, to use Carroll’s description.
Michael, who was originally drafted by Seattle, was re-acquired by the team last week after the Cowboys released him in November. Case Keenum completed 14 of 17 passes for 234 yards and two touchdowns.

Carroll said strong safety Kam Chancellor’s bruised tailbone felt much better Monday. Carroll said when the team made a decision to re-sign Michael last week he could tell there was an understanding this could be his final shot. Carroll said LT Russell Okung has a very sore calf but tests revealed no major structural damage.
