Thierry Henry: Why Man Utd are nervous over Pep Guardiola
Theo Walcott: Injuries may have curtailed his first half of the season but the England forward opened the scoring at just the right time for Arsenal just moments after De Bruyne had missed a good chance for City.

Guardiola won 14 trophies, including two Champions League crown during four years in the Barcelona hotseat, while the 44-year-old has guided league leaders Bayern successive Bundesliga titles since arriving at the Allianz Arena in 2013.
Guardiola has already assessed Chelsea’s squad and has indicated that the defending champions, 15th in the Premier League, will need to sign 10 new players. “I have no problems with the work-rate of my team”.
No side has ever won the Premier League after suffering five defeats before Christmas and City were beaten for the fifth time at the Emirates Stadium.
He recently suggested a preference to return to the English top flight but has instead made a decision to join Bayern.
“For me it is not hard because I want to win, win and win”, he said. I’m disappointed that I didn’t start against Arsenal; but I’m not the coach.
Although City have world-beaters across the park and depend on the likes of Joe Hart, Yaya Toure, David Silva and Sergio Aguero, it is plain to see that Kompany is the team’s most important player. The 52-year-old Portuguese is remaining in London, with a statement from his management company emphasising: “He will not be taking a sabbatical, he isn’t exhausted, he doesn’t need it”.
Hiddink confirmed over the weekend that he will not extend his stay at Stamford Bridge beyond the end of the season, meaning his short tenure will be remarkably similar to his 2009 reign when he replaced Luis Felipe Scolari in a deal until the end of the campaign.
A lot has been written about a possible successor to Louis van Gaal, should the Dutchman get the sack.
Long viewed as Guardiola’s most likely next destination, due in no small part to the presence of ex-Barcelona men Txiki Begiristain and Ferran Soriano on the City board.
Although Guardiola has never worked in England, Manchester City has the Camp Nou ethos now engrained throughout the Abu Dhabi-owned club. I’m sure everyone on the bench wants to play. Plus, while things are far from flawless for City, there are plenty of talented, technical young players for Guardiola to work with at the club. “Some day he’ll come here”.
Of course, Arsenal is still an outside bet, but it’s easy to see why Guardiola would be attracted to this well-run club, with a recent history of trusting in youth and playing attractive, high-quality football.

But he has yet to lead them to the UEFA Champions League title with Bayern losing at the semi-final stage on their previous two attempts.
