“Once we get our case resolved in New Orleans, then we will work on getting him, Bob, to California where he can be brought to trial”, Durst’s attorney, Dick DeGuerin, told the Los Angeles Times. McCormack is just one of the three people Durst is believed to have murdered, as profiled in HBO’s The Jinx which led to the reopening of a case for which Durst has been charged by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.

The FBI nabbed him in New Orleans in March on a warrant for the Berman murder and found a.38-caliber Smith & Wesson in his hotel room that was illegal for him to have as a convicted felon.
He also faces state weapons and drugs charges in New Orleans.
Durst, an estranged member of the family that runs 1 World Trade Center in NY, faces a murder trial in Los Angeles in the death of his friend and onetime spokeswoman Susan Berman.
On the documentary series finale, which aired the day after his arrest, Durst was caught on microphone saying to himself, “Killed them all, of course”.
Durst has been accused of several murders over the years, including that of his wife, Kathie.
His lawyers have said Durst is eager to prove he is innocent in Berman’s death.

Durst’s arrest came hours before the airing of the final episode of “The Jinx”, which examined the disappearance of his wife in 1982, Berman’s execution-style killing and the killing of Black. He has a change-of-plea hearing in federal court scheduled for February 3.
