Odell Beckham suspension: Appeal will be heard Wednesday
There’s zero chance a Panthers player would pull a Tonya Harding on OBJ in any situation, let alone right on the field before the game.

Cris Carter, an NFL Hall of Fame wide receiver, was a guest on ESPN Radio’s “Mike & Mike” and said he could confirm that homophobic slurs were directed at Beckham, that Panthers players did threaten him with the bat, and that they threatened to end his career. “A lot of it has been assumptions and innuendos”.
The NFL has always been a league where the stars are protected, and we can see Odell is no different. He hasn’t released a statement.
“But I keep hearing all these things everybody is saying everybody else is saying, ” Rivera said.
“To tie it up that way being down 35-7 and come back to tie it up, that’s an outstanding tribute to our team, to our players, to our coaches”, Coughlin said. “We don’t tolerate that here”. FILE – In this Dec. 20, 2015, file photo, a referee, left, separates New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham (13) and Carolina Panthers’ Josh Norman (24) during the first half of an NFL football game Sunday, Dec. 20… The last National Football League player to get a similar suspension was Broncos CB Aqib Talib who earlier this season served one game for purposely poking an opponent in the eye. “It goes to show”, a furious Norman said after Sunday’s game. “I heard nothing. Several of the people around him heard nothing to be construed as something homophobic… Like I’ve said, we’ll cross that bridge when we get there”. So, I just know if we have to play them again, it’s not going to go well. Rivera said he heard nothing and wondered if some of the accusations were part of “spin control by somebody”. But Rivera was firm the bat was not meant, or used, as a form of intimidation, calling it a “huge misunderstanding”. “It’s the No Fun League for a reason”, Rivera said.
“Because I wanted him to play the game”, remarked Coughlin of his rationale for leaving Beckham in the game. After Beckham slowed down and put a shoulder into Norman’s chest, knocking the cornerback down, the two fell to the ground in a heap of hands swinging.
“This is a very important social issue, ” he said, referring to the claim of using homophobic slurs.
In other words, as the Inquisitr and other media outlets have recently speculated, Norman and the Carolina Panthers may have gotten in the head of Beckham before he first stepped onto the field of play.

Norman, who is expected to be fined for his role in the in-game altercations with Beckham, told reporters he couldn’t say anything.
