Jose Mourinho’s agent denies he has agreed to replace Louis van Gaal
“There is nothing. We don’t know what will happen in the future but now there is no agreement”, he told Globo Esporte.

Mourinho, sacked by Chelsea last week, is the favourite to replace the maligned Van Gaal, who has presided over just four wins in United’s last 15 games. “There isn’t an official proposal either, that’s not true”.
Louis van Gaal has admitted his position in charge of the 20-time English champions will come under threat if their poor run continues, but Mendes has played down suggestions Mourinho is being lined up to replace the Dutchman.
Mourinho is understood to be spending the week in Portugal with his family, but he is looking for a quick return to management and with Van Gaal’s United floundering, the 52-year-old could realise his dream of taking over at Old Trafford if the club’s board decides to dispense with the current manager.
Super-agent Jorge Mendes has denied that his client Jose Mourinho has struck a deal with Manchester United, but will not rule out Old Trafford talks for the former Chelsea boss.
However, the Manchester Evening News later reported that Woodward had only been discussing commercial matters rather than settling van Gaal s future.
Van Gaal is unlikely to be especially encouraged by the revelation from Mourinho s agent that no deal has been agreed with United at present.
Van Gaal has found himself under pressure after a disappointing run of form with rumours circling that he is on his way out.
Van Gaal is due to speak at a media conference on Wednesday afternoon at 3.30pm ahead of his team’s trip to Stoke on Boxing Day.

During Saturday’s defeat to Norwich City the 64-year-old was abused during the game by supporters sitting near the dugout and was given further stick as he walked down the touchline to the tunnel at full-time.
