Valve’s biggest sale of the year has already begun and will run until January 4, but you won’t have to worry about any daily deals…
Valve kicked off the Steam Winter 2015 Sale this morning.
It’s that time of the year again – the time when PC gamers go on spending sprees they often regret later, loading up on discounted games at rates they think they can’t pass up. To take advantage of the Steam Winter 2015 sale all gamers need is a Steam account and a Mac, Windows PC or Linux to play their new games on. Whatever is posted for sale on the first day will have the same price until the Winter Sale period ends.
Some gamers might be disappointed that the company is not offering an entirely new video game to keep gamers entertained during Christmas and New Year’s Eve, but it seems that the company is focusing more on actual deals that on side show entertainment.
Cynicism aside, Fallout 4 was a relatively well-received title and there is plenty of modding fun to be had once you get the initial game out of the way.
Valve is now offering prospecting buyers trading cards, which will be giving some sort of a reason to come back every now and then. It’s just like you’re paid with each time you visit the Steam website to check the Discovery Queue.
What kind of discounts can you look forward to? It’s a free comic, though you can’t read it in its entirety – a new page is being revealed each day of the Winter Sale.
