Two dead in Oakville crash
OPP say they hope to have all Toronto-bound lanes of the highway reopened near Trafalgar Rd.by approximately 2 p.m., but that’s still subject to change.

Two people were killed in a collision on the Queen Elizabeth Way near Trafalgar Road, according to the OPP. The empty flatbed truck and tractor-trailer were hauling vehicle parts.
The two adult male occupants of the SUV were pronounced dead on scene. Police told 680 NEWS they were in the SUV that was crushed between the flatbed truck and the tractor-trailer.
The three people in the other vehicle were transported to hospital and police could not offer any details on the extent of their injuries.
At the time of the crash, emergency crews said there was a danger of further explosions.
All eastbound lanes of the QEW in Oakville remain closed this morning several hours after a fiery, multi-vehicle crash that claimed two lives.

Officers are attempting to investigate the cause of the crash, remove debris and examine the surface of the road, but the thick fog in the area is slowing the process.
