The army said on Sunday that the Palestinian woman was arrested and evacuated for medical care.
Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu first voiced the controversial idea of stripping Palestinians of their rights in November, following a wave of stabbing attacks in the country, various media reported.
“I pay taxes to the municipality of Jerusalem, but the garbage is all over the streets, electricity and water lines are old, roads are unpaved and sanitation is poor”, Ahmad Zughaiar, a resident of Kufr Aqab neighborhood in East Jerusalem, told Anadolu Agency. We were feeling dizzy and crying.
The report notes that Israeli sanctions on Gaza have made freedom of movement and goods nearly non-existent, and have contributed to an economy that the World Bank said is on the “verge of collapse”. In recent weeks, anger has been rising among far-right activists who object to the arrests and interrogation of the suspected attackers.
In July 2015, two parents and their 18-month-old son were burned to death when a commando threw firebombs at the Dawabsheh family’s home in the village of Duma.
A Star of David and the words “revenge” and “long live the Messiah” were spray-painted on a wall near the family’s small house. Palestinians say the attacks stem from despair over almost half a century of Israeli military occupation.
Defence Minister Moshe Yaalon has said Israel was determined to bring those responsible to trial, adding that he considered the arson “a Jewish terrorist act”.
The violent tension and attacks engulfing the region since early October, have been prompted by Israel’s continued attempts to temporally divide al-Aqsa mosque compound in Jerusalem, the third holiest site in Islam, between Muslims and Jews.

Israel, meanwhile, directly controls the 60 percent of the occupied West Bank known as Area “C”, which is now home to some 150,000 Palestinians and 350,000 Jewish settlers living in 135 Jewish-only settlements.
