Shatrughan Asks Jaitley to ‘Follow Advani’s Example’, Bats for Azad
The rift is widening within the Bharatiya Janata Party and now Patna Sahib MP Shatrughan Sinha has backed rebel MP Kirti Azad in the Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) row while asking his party to refrain from a knee-jerk reaction against someone fighting against corruption.

The actor-turned politician further advised Jaitley to pay heed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s advice and follow BJP patriarch LK Advani’s example and come clean.
“Kirti Azad, Darbhanga MP, is suspended from party with immediate effect for his anti-party activities”, a BJP statement said.
Azad, who has been backed by former India cricket captain Bishen Singh Bedi and “sulking” BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha, followed up the press conference with an open dare on social media and barbs in Parliament targeting Jaitley, prompting the party to crack the whip.
“Humble appeal to friends”. Have often quoted Newton’s third Law. Feel that untimely action cud boomerang.
Reflecting on the current state of affairs within the party, Sinha said that BJP was increasingly becoming a party of differences while it promised to be a party with a difference.
The parliamentarian defied his party as he made corruption allegations linked to the Delhi and District Cricket Association that Jaitley headed for 13 years till 2013.
Advani had resigned from Lok Sabha in 1996 after allegations were levelled against him in the Hawala case.
Sinha’s support for Azad came a day after senior Bihar BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi demanded disciplinary action against Azad for targetting Jaitley over the DDCA issue.

Jaitley has sued leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party, including Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, for slapping allegations on him.
