Samsung Galaxy A9 Gets Certified By TENAA
Its specifications put it a cut above most other midrangers out in the market, and the presence of Samsung Pay should be one very good reason for consumers to flock toward it. Unfortunately, we don’t have information on pricing and availability, though that should all follow in the weeks to come. The Chinese certification and regulatory authority’s confirmation included images of the device and a list of sheet that has specifications. It measures 161.7 x 80.9 x 7.4 mm and weighing 200 grams the Galaxy A9 feels heavy in the hand.

There are many rumors about the upcoming Galaxy A9 smartphone from Samsung that sports a model number SM-A9000. “For the display, the A9 will pack in a substantial 6” AMOLED FHD display, putting this device well within the phablet category. The exact processor is not mentioned, but talk around town is that it will be the Snapdragon 820 (or Snapdragon 652, as it is now called), with its 4x Cortex-A72 and 4x Cortex-A53. The internal storage is listed at 32GB and expandable up to 128GB through the usual means. It will have its primary camera either of 8MP or 13MP on its back, while it is for sure that the secondary camera placed at front will be of 8MP. A minor bummer is that the smartphone launches on Android 5.1 Lollipop, which is halfway out the door already, and certainly not a welcome sight on a newly announced premium handset. The Galaxy A9 will be available in Gold, White and Pink color options, and is expected to become available in China really soon. Galaxy A9 users will find a fingerprint scanner embedded in the home button, and a dual SIM slot is offered. We can expect more details to arrive before the device gets officially unveiled.
