“Sanchez will be back around January 10”. Christmas period – you can’t count him.
“He was planned to be on the bench tonight but he is so keen that he got a little pain and we didn’t take a gamble at all”.
Wenger also heaped praise on Ozil, describing the German’s talent as exceptional and saying that he has developed his physical attributes and physical commitment.
The Gunners have not won the title since 2004, but goals from Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud were enough against City despite Yaya Toure’s late strike. “He had only one training session yesterday”. For a guy who could not prepare well, he has done extremely well physically.

Asked what City need to do to return to winning ways the ex-Arsenal star reflected: “A bit of luck and a bit of quality going forward and defending”. Wenger hailed his vision.
Mertesacker still feels Arsenal’s display showed their ability to win games in more than one way, unlike in previous years.
“This is the first year that possession does not give you the win like before”. “In our team, most of the time, Ozil is this player”. You can see his desire to win.
“Football is pragmatic. No-one can predict what will happen in the next 17 games”. That is why we implement them into games but we are still unsafe on the counter-attack and that makes us a real threat.

“They have players who can tuck in like De Bruyne and Silva who you do not want to get on the ball in the last 30 yards and overall we did that tactically well”.
