Star Wars: The Force Awakens May Top $3 Billion Worldwide
You may have noticed that several scenes from the first few STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS trailers didn’t make it into the movie, like Maz Kanata handing Luke Skywalker’s lightsaber to General Leia and the first shot of Kylo Ren’s cross-guard lightsaber.

The movie finished Monday with a domestic total of $288.1 million after a $40.1 million on Monday alone which is the biggest showing ever for the day. Considering all of those movies made over a billion dollars, this puts The Force Awakens at the head of a very exclusive, very profitable pack.
“Star Wars” has a winning formula that includes legions of fans devoted to the franchise and marketing momentum ramped up by Hollywood entertainment titan Disney.
As well as the mantle of Star Wars champ, Braden will receive a seven-year movie pass to Alamo Drafthouse cinemas, a variety of Star Wars merchandise and a cinema seat named in his honour, complete with a naming ceremony. Go ahead, Abrams, tell us why you did it. Most of us have heard about Daniel Craig ” s low-key cameo and the fact that Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich somehow popped up in the film, but did you know Abrams also found roles for both his father and his grandfather?
Box office hit… Daisy Ridley, right, as Rey, and John Boyega as Finn, in a scene from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Disney, which spent more than $200 million to make “Force Awakens”, also created intrigue by keeping the plot largely secret. The American Film Institute selected it as one of its 10 best movies of the year, and the Critics’ Choice Awards added it as an 11th best picture nominee, leading many to have faith in “The Force Awakens” as a viable Oscar contender.
“Long before we had this title, the idea of “The Force Awakens” was that this would become the evolution of not just a hero, but a villain”, he said. This is a catch-22, as we are either stuck with a one-dimensional, scary villain, or a more fleshed out character who looks like his voice could crack at any moment in the throes of puberty.
Han Solo dies. Yep, he’s killed by his son, Kylo Ren. “How can we possible do that!?” It is certain a moment of reawakening for fans and also for those who have yet to experience the force through the movie.
The characters were quite interesting, including Finn, an ex-storm trooper who opts to help the protagonists.

Lucas obviously opted to go in another direction, but it’s clear Ford was on board with the idea of letting Han Solo go and using his exit as a huge emotional beat for the movie. Thrust unwillingly into the middle of a war, the two bond while struggling to come to terms with the dangers they face. They were just doing this thing in a way that, frankly, was disturbing.
