Trump’s got competition; Cruz makes big gains in latest polls

The Texas senator visited the town as part of a weeklong tour of nine mostly southern states. He said he picked Rubio over Cruz because ” I believe he has a much stronger chance than Cruz of beating the Democratic nominee in the general election due to his high likeability and his location in the critical electoral state of Florida”.

A police spokesperson said the incident occurred in the afternoon near the Old City’s Jaffa Gate, a popular tourist spot. Most have taken place around the Damascus Gate, the main entrance to the Old City’s Muslim quarter.

Fox News host Elizabeth Prann asked Continetti about Trump’s recent statements on the need for the U.S.to take a less confrontational posture toward Russian Federation and work with Moscow to “be used for the good”. Ted Cruz said in Tennessee. “Don’t let anyone tell you differently”. One, from Republican Sen.

Four Turkish soldiers injured in Islamic State attack
Citing threats from IS, Turkey recently sent an unspecified number of reinforcements to the camp, sparking an uproar in Baghdad. Large territories of Iraq and Syria have been occupied by Daesh, a terrorist group outlawed in Russian Federation .

Congressman John Radcliffe, who was with Cruz at the last debate, talked to NBC 5 about his grassroots support. Chuck Grassley, would have prohibited the legalization of illegal immigrants in the United States until after the administration could prove it had maintained “effective control” of the borders for six months. Prominent conservatives, Cruz among them, are frequently brought on board to write op-eds of their own. Just under a quarter said they would be “proud” if he was elected president.

Trump’s idea of a Muslim ban has US legal experts divided
Maybe they just want to be on his “like” list so they can keep abreast of his latest antics. Trump said he didn’t do it for the polls, so he doesn’t care what the polls say.

“To be honest, I don’t really want anything”. You know, people don’t know that about me.

“They were on polar opposites”, Sessions later told reporters. The first-term senator from Florida has many qualities that could help him win nationally: a compelling biography, youth, charisma and intellect. He has shone in debates and is a sought-after guest on national television.

Here is a link to video of Cruz offering an amendment to the Gang of Eight bill that would have provided what he now sneeringly derides as “amnesty”: https://youtu.be/4CwVrfydjOI. The only thing standing in the way of their matchup, Cruz adds, is Rubio’s performance in New Hampshire. Or maybe he won’t; maybe he’s destined to lose too, but like I say, to the center-right it shouldn’t matter.

Marco Rubio no doubt wants to sit behind the big desk in the Oval Office. He’s up against – what? You don’t hear that from the other guys. “It’s kind of win at any cost”.

Mr. Cruz also scored points for employing the phrase “political correctness” – a rhetorical neutron bomb after campus protests at the University of Missouri and Yale – to characterize Obama’s approach to terrorism surveillance and to tie the president to some of Cruz’s Republican rivals. Cruz returned Sessions’ praise during his remarks, offering his Senate colleague up for a Cabinet post in his administration.

“I’m more capable”, Trump said of why voters should choose him over Cruz. “Looking back at what you said then, and what you said now, which one should people believe?”

After the rally, Sessions took the suggestion in stride.

“If the proponents of this bill actually demonstrate a commitment not to politics, not to campaigning all the time, but to actually fixing this problem, to finding a middle ground, that would fix the problem and also allow for those 11 million people who are here illegally a legal status with citizenship off the table”.

The Alabama senator expressed openness to making an endorsement in the GOP race for the White House but said he was still weighing his options.

And while Trump may seem to have built a candidacy out of unlikely elements, including an Ivy League education, a real-estate empire and vast exposure on “The Apprentice”, Cruz’s profile is even more unlikely.
