Trump laps Republican field in latest 2016 poll

Trump has issued a series of provocative – some would say outrageous -statements since launching his campaign June 16, beginning with his accusation that Mexico was sending “rapists” and other criminals into the United States. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), who has been surging lately. “He shouldn’t take it personally either but someone needs to call him out”, he said.

In a game against the Buffalo Bills, video appeared to show Beckham throwing a punch at a Bills player after getting blocked. Irvin confirmed that Panthers players were directing slurs toward Beckham and said it’s not the first time.

Just 23% of voters said they would be proud if Trump were president.

What do you think that happens with my wife? “So you think that I want to talk with the media now”. This has not been a good season for Louis Van Gaal and Manchester United .

While a Trump presidency would embarrass many Americans, they don’t appear to hold much love for Clinton either. 65% and 54% of the people said Cruz & Trump had a good chance of winning, respectively.

A police spokesperson said the incident occurred in the afternoon near the Old City’s Jaffa Gate, a popular tourist spot. Most have taken place around the Damascus Gate, the main entrance to the Old City’s Muslim quarter.

It also probably reflects the undelivered promises many Republican candidates have made in recent elections to slash government programs and defeat a Democratic president they detest. In addition, it’s hard to see real debate when so little time is afforded to each participant – candidates know that attacking their opponents give their opponents more airtime, so many times they just stick to their own policy platforms, and hope someone else will attack them.

According to CNN, the poll reveals Trump’s lead stems from the opinion that he can best handle the economy, illegal immigration and ISIS. Hypothetically, should two or three of these candidate drop out and perhaps even endorse one of the others, it might allow more moderate, establishment republican voters to coalesce behind one anti-Trump candidate. Twenty-nine percent said “neither”.

In the same way that Romney courted and built support among traditional Republican elites and donors before reaching out to different factions as an acceptable candidate, Cruz has done the same, except from the other side.

In a contest between Trump and Cruz, Cruz received 31% while 28% said that they were not going to vote of that were the case.

Of course, even if this is right, the GOP presidential candidates will probably play to the GOP voters who oppose action, and will likely pledge to withdraw the US from the global accord, as Ted Cruz has already done.

A new CNN/ORC poll shows Trump at 39 percent with Republicans, Cruz at 18 percent, Carson at 10 percent and Rubio at 10 percent. “Ted Cruz, for example, did about 2 points better on live telephone, as did Ben Carson”.

I suggest Republicans who are alarmed about Trump but who hate Hillary Clinton temporarily register as Democrats so they can vote for Sen. “Can a candidate that half the American electorate thinks is an embarrassment win in November?”

After all, the functional difference between someone like Cruz and someone like Rubio is small.

The poll was conducted after the December GOP primary debate in Las Vegas, Nevada on December 15.
