Three Wounded in Stabbing Attack in Jerusalem’s Old City
Three Israelis were injured Wednesday in a stabbing rampage outside of Jerusalem’s Old City, police said.

WAFA’s correspondent said Israeli police blocked all gates leading to the old city of Jerusalem, including: Bab al-Amoud gate, also known as Damascus Gate and Bab el-Khalil, also known as Jaffa Gate, following the alleged stabbing attacks.

Police said one of the Israelis may have been wounded by police gunfire. One of the attackers was killed on the spot and the second assailant died later of his wounds.

A wave of violence which began nearly three months ago has shown no sign of dying down and has raised fears of a wider escalation, a decade after the last Palestinian uprising subsided.
A number of them have attempted attacks with kitchen knives in what some analysts have described as virtual suicide missions.
Palestinians have grown frustrated with Israel’s occupation, the complete lack of progress in peace efforts and their own fractured leadership, while global efforts to end the violence have so far failed.
She said the assailants were from the occupied West Bank and local mosques mourned their deaths.
Also on Wednesday, Israel’s Shin Bet intelligence agency said it had arrested 25 suspected members of the militant Islamist group Hamas, who had operated in the West Bank and Israel, directed from Gaza.

Witnesses said one of the victims struggled with his stabber on the ground and was stabbed multiple times.
