This was stated in a statement issued after a joint press conference of Prime Minister’s Advisor on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz and Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj in Islamabad.
“The meeting discussed peace and security, Jammu & Kashmir, terrorism, tranquility along the LoC and Working Boundary”, Aziz said.
Islamabad also assured New Delhi that steps were now being taken to expedite the speedy conclusion of the ongoing trial of individuals suspected in a string of attacks in Mumbai in 2009 that killed over 150 people.
“He will be coming”, Sushma told reporters when asked if Modi will visit Pakistan to attend the summit.
“India and Pakistan are ready for talks”.
The foreign secretaries of the two countries will schedule further consultations on how best to meet and decide on the more operational specifics for this dialogue. External affairs minister Sushma Swaraj made the announcement on Wednesday during her two-day visit to the country, adding that she would accompany Modi during his trip. Ms Swaraj had gone to Islamabad on Tuesday to attend a conference on Afghanistan.
Economic and Commercial Cooperation, Narcotics Control, Humanitarian Issues, People to People exchanges and religious tourism, according to the joint statement.
He said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Afghan President Ashraf Ghani have common vision about peace and stability in the region.

Both the representatives discussed couple of issues related to terrorism, regional situation, Kashmir dispute, to trade and bilateral ties between the two nuclear-potent neighbouring countries.
