Muslims Stand With Christians in Islamist Attack in Kenya
Once the bus was stopped, about 10 gunmen boarded and commanded all Muslims to split from the Christians in order to single them out for death. This land travel road is known for ambush, thus buses going into this route must have police escort.

According to Abdirashid Adan, who spoke to The Nation about the incident, in which he was one of three people injured, “We were forced to stop after they shot at our bus”.
A group of Kenyan Muslims shielded Christian passengers from an attack by the al-Qaeda-linked militant group Al-Shabaab on Monday, CNN reports. There are no Christians here, ‘”he said”. Believing that police were approaching, the Al-Shabaab militants left.
At least two people were killed in the attack, near the north-eastern village of El Wak on the Somali border.
This is not the first attack that Al-Shabaab did to Kenya. A year ago, al-Shabab attacked a bus near Mandera, killing 28 Christians who were travelling to Nairobi for the Christmas holidays. But several Muslim passengers quickly gave Christians headscarves to wear to disguise them as Muslims.
Immediately the Muslim women offered the Christian women their hijabs.
But a Christian man who tried to run away and captured was shot dead, while the truck driver, which was trailing the bus, was also killed, Teno said. “But when they asked the 62 Muslim passengers to help identify the Christian passengers, the Muslims refused and told the militants to kill everyone or leave”, the online source said.
In a courageous act of defying terror, a group of Kenyan Muslims protected Christians from an attack, saying they were ready to die together, according to witnesses.
“As the attackers started separating passengers according to their religions, we heard the sound of an oncoming lorry”, Adan added.
