The fallout from Sunday’s show made Harvey an online symbol of “oops” moments, drew a reaction from Colombia’s president and even a gloating tweet from Donald Trump, the pageant’s former owner.
But Pia reveals that it’s been very tough for Miss Colombia.
“I couldn’t believe it, I was so upset”, said Sarah-Lorraine about the winners announcement mix-up. She expressed gratitude to the enthusiasts who supported her in her Miss Universe journey.

Our source said there is “no way” the mistake was done for publicity, as some news outlets have questioned, but could be chalked up to Harvey simply being under-rehearsed. The host claimed duty for the combination up and confusion, then quickly after introduced Wurtzbach because the actual victor of this year’s pageant.
“Miss Universe-Germany Sarah Lorraine Riek feels sorry for her colleague and friend Miss Colombia”.
“I don’t want to take away from this awesome night and pageant”.
Riek did say that they were happy for Wurtzbach and wished her a wonderful reign. “But I would have passed the crown and would still be proud to represent my country”.
