Meanwhile, police in Britain yesterday said they had arrested a 31-year-old man in connection with suspected “extremist Islamist terrorism”.
Those charges stemmed from evidence gathered during pre-dawn raids in Australia late past year in which 15 people were taken into custody and an alleged plan to kidnap and behead a member of the public was uncovered.
Cazeneuve said this brings the total number of foiled attacks in France to 10 since 2013.
