Didier Drogba’s return to Chelsea looking more real
Chelsea have begun discussions with the Montreal Impact striker Didier Drogba about becoming their new assistant manager.

According to interim Blues manager Guus Hiddink, the Premier League team is attempting to bring Drogba back to Stamford Bridge, per Matt Law of the Daily Telegraph.
The Impact, whose 2016 season would be seriously compromised if they lost their star player and attraction, responded with a tweet last Friday that read: “The rumour about Didier Drogba is unfounded”.
Drogba took MLS by storm during his half season in the league, scoring 11 goals in 11 regular season games after making his debut in August.
Should Drogba be released from his contract early or retire, it would be a significant blow to the Impact, given his output in limited time in 2015.
Drogba was pictured sitting alongside Hiddink and Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich in the club’s 3-1 win over Sunderland at Stamford Bridge on Sunday. “That’s not to do with me”, Hiddink said. “We are doing everything we can to have him back with the Impact in 2016”.
“We want to get important players involved with the club they care about”. Drogba, a club legend, is reportedly being offered a position on Hiddink’s staff or as a club ambassador.
“He’s a legend already in this club”.

Hiddink, who coached Drogba in a previous stint with Chelsea, gave no hints of that at his news conference. But he is playing for Montreal, under contract. He said at the end of the season he meant to be back in Montreal, but added that in soccer anything can happen.
