Jermain Defoe has scored six goals in 10 league appearances on Boxing Day. Knowing the unpredictability of thePremier League, especially this season, has given the striker the belief that the team have a “bit more of a chance” at getting results in the upcoming games.

Pablo Zabaleta and Fernando are also available again after lay-offs and boss Manuel Pellegrini has expressed his delight at a shrinking injury list.

City aren’t convincing at the moment but they need to keep going.

Sunderland just keep on having hard game after hard game.

Tough to see anything but a comfortable win here for Manchester City, no value in the 1/5 being offered though.

Fernandinho is concerned by Sunderland’s recent performances against Manchester City ahead of their festive clash.
