Courtois: We’ll start climbing the Premier League under Hiddink
Another post-Jose Mourinho era began at Chelsea with the players enraging some of their own fans inside Stamford Bridge.

The three-times Premier League victor issued a statement insisting he will not be taking a sabbatical.
Hiddink knows the situation is dire at the London club, but has called on the players to raise their game to resurrect the reigning champion’s season.
Hiddink, who spoke to the squad at the training ground yesterday, believes Chelsea can turn their campaign around, but only if the players show commitment to the cause.
“I spoke fully to the squad and, of course, we talked a bit about the past, why I’m here, the reasons why we are down”, he said. “I’m not going to be begging them [the players] to perform”.

But of course we cannot ignore what has happened in the recent past so I told them as big professionals to look in the mirror and see if you can be ultra-critical and give the best of yourself to the team. But then we’ll see.
And the 45-year-old is said to be excited at the prospect of testing himself in the Premier League after privately admitting that he may have taken Atletico as far as they can go. I can’t say I’m here and it’s problem solved.
A penalty from Oscar on 50 minutes, after Willian had been fouled in the box, made it 3-0 for the Blues before ex-Chelsea striker Fabio Borini got one back soon after. I want to look forward.
Chelsea, embroiled in their worst start to a league season since 1978, were one point above the relegation zone ahead of Saturday’s home clash with fellow strugglers Sunderland but responded with a 3-1 victory.
“I don’t want to have much information (about what went before)”.
They also repeatedly chanted in support of the sacked Jose Mourinho, who has been replaced on an interim basis by Guus Hiddink, and unveiled a banner saying: “You let Jose down, you let us down”.

He told the Echo: “If Mourinho was still there, I still think we would have lost”.
