Two seriously injured in head-on crash involving charter bus carrying 50 people
Squamish RCMP spokeswoman Sgt. Jolaine Percival said a man was seriously injured when the vehicle he was driving collided with a Pacific Coach Lines bus along the Sea-to-Sky Highway, between Vancouver and Whistler. One is in stable condition and was transported via ground ambulance.

There were about 50 passengers on the bus at the time, none of whom were injured in the crash, said Percival.
David anxious the bus, perched with one side up on the barrier, might tip because of the passengers trying to escape out the road side-windows, so he nudged the couple’s van up against the back corner of the bus, which was still on the road.
That might not have been the case if not for the concrete barrier, which the RCMP believes likely prevented a risky drop – there’s a cliff just metres away on the other side.
Road conditions are being considered a factor in the crash. It was snowing when the vehicles collided.
The front driver’s side of the bus was badly damaged and the SUV was completely destroyed.
Police could not say when the highway would reopen.
The Sea to Sky Highway is closed in both directions near the Conroy Creek Forest Service Road, north of Squamish, due to a crash.

Drivers were being rerouted through Highway 1 before Highway 5 southbound was reopened at the Summit later in the afternoon.
