American Airlines will apply for Miami to Cuba flights
USA tourists are coming down nonstop, Cuban Americans are devising ways of investing on the island in the most intuitive and inventive fashion ever.

However, those who did wish to spend some time in Cuba had difficulty in booking charter flights, or had to do so via other countries, having to navigate through laws for their travels to be legal. Travelers must meet special criteria and fall under 12 categories such as “people-to-people” trips that encourage relations between USA and Cuban citizens. Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parilla travelled to Washington in July to re-open Cuba’s US Embassy, and Secretary of State John Kerry flew to Cuba a month later to re-open the US Embassy there for the first time since 1961.
Thirty more flights a day would more than double current US air traffic to Cuba but it may take years to reach that number.
The agreement was made official on Thursday to mark the one-year anniversary of the announcements by Presidents Obama and Castro that their countries were restoring diplomatic ties. That could boost business and tourism on the island.
Delegations from both nations have been meeting in Washington since Monday to finalize the details of the commercial flight deal they have been working on for several months.
That incorporates 20 flights a day between the US furthermore, Cuba’s capital city of Havana, and 10 a day between the USA also, nine universal airplane terminals spread over the island.
Obama has about 400 days left in office before handing over to the next president, potentially a Republican hostile to his new Cuba policy. Cuba warns the measures will not work until the trade embargo is lifted so Cuba can operate in dollars.
While there’s no date set for the flights to begin, companies like JetBlue and American Airlines already have their sights on a new opportunity.
American Airlines said it hopes to start flying scheduled services by the end of June and will continue operating existing charter flights until then.

American’s chairman and CEO Doug Parker said in a statement “As the leading carrier to the Caribbean and the leading USA airline to Cuba, we look forward to establishing scheduled service to Cuba in 2016, from Miami and other American hubs”.
