Showers and Storms Remain a Threat
The entire region still has a “Marginal” and “Slight” risk of strong to severe storms between 7pm, Wednesday, and 3am, Thursday.

SANTA’S RIDE: Wondering about the weather for Santa’s trip tonight. Santa will not have to deal with severe weather, but he still may have to dodge raindrops.
THURSDAY: Mostly cloudy with a 30% chance for showers. It will be mainly cloudy, but very warm. Expect a mix of clouds and sunshine Christmas Eve with highs climbing back into the mid to upper 70s. Some of those showers may have a few rumbles of thunder in them, with scattered downpours for most of us under mostly cloudy skies. Overnight lows will be in the mid and upper 60s, while afternoon highs climb into the upper 70s and perhaps lower 80s, which could certainly set record highs for these days as well. Most of that will fall Sunday and Monday.
Forecast models are indicating at least scattered showers and storms will blossom on the nose of the advancing moist, unstable air…likely after midnight.
Rain develops Saturday night and continues into Sunday. Turning cooler. Lows near 49.
There will be many smiling faces on Christmas morning, and the weather will only help to brighten those smiles.
