The crash killed Jessica Valenzuela, 32, of Buckeye, Ariz., who was visiting Las Vegas with her husband. Russia Airstrikes ‘May Amount To War Crimes’
Russian President Vladimir Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov has insisted its military in Syria operates in line with global law. Nearly 300,000 people have been killed in the Syrian conflict, and millions of others have been displaced.

Holloway previously lived in OR, where she changed her name in October to Paris Paradise Morton, according to court records.

Holloway, dressed in a blue jail outfit with her hands cuffed, exhibited scant emotion during her brief appearance in Clark County criminal court.

Defense lawyer Joseph Abood later characterized Holloway as “distraught” and overwhelmed.

The homicide finding was expected, and it doesn’t find fault. The Clark County Coroner’s Office reported today that she died of multiple blunt-force injuries. He said he couldn’t provide further information about the case.

Abood and Coffee didn’t answer a question about whether they have spoken with the father.

Holloway showed no resistance when police arrived, and she spoke coherently about what happened, the sheriff said. The video will not be made public till a later courtroom listening to.

Holloway is charged with murder, child abuse and hit-and-run.

“If you intentionally try and run somebody over, that certainly qualifies as an attempted murder charge, and that’s one we are strongly considering”, Wolfson said.

Two people struck by the auto remain hospitalised in a critical condition at University Medical Center of Southern Nevada on Wednesday and two others are listed in a serious condition.

The judge set a January 20 date for a preliminary hearing of the evidence.

Abood says she’ll plead not guilty.

“This is gloomy and tragic for everyone concerned”, he stated, including, “Just as a result of she’s charged, doesn’t suggest she’s responsible”.

Police say the 24-year-old Holloway is on suicide watch in jail. Her lawyers said Holloway’s mental health could become an issue, but that she had not had a psychological evaluation.

“It’s a hard situation for everybody, she’s in custody, she’s in an isolated cell, she’s under surveillance”, said Scott Coffee.

“This is a surprise to everyone”, Abood said. “We have plenty of investigating and a whole lot of work to do”.

Holloway had been in Las Vegas for about one week before the crash and was living in a auto, officials said Monday. In France, however, police did say that the unnamed driver reportedly shouted “Allahu Akbar” and “For the children of Palestine” while he was attempting to kill pedestrians with his vehicle. She nodded her head when asked if she understood the charges against her.
