ORC poll: Donald Trump dominates GOP pack heading into 2016

In New Hampshire, Cruz is second place behind Trump with 14 percent. – No, Ted Cruz still will not attack Donald Trump. How can the Republican electorate nominate a man to lead this country who lambasts Hispanics, Latinos, African Americans, refugees, a P.O.W. hero, and led the “birther movement” against President Obama?

Kerry: Russia and U.S. can cooperate despite disagreements
Western allies Germany, Italy and Britain were to attend the talks, along with regional players in the conflict, including Jordan and Saudi Arabia.

The real estate magnate s campaign trail bombast – including extraordinary comments that stunned many observers – appears to have done him no harm in the polls as he solidifies the frontrunner status he has maintained since late July. Behind those two, Ben Carson and Florida Sen. “And they are seen as more likely to vote in the defining early contests, especially in the Bible Belt-centered March 1 primaries”. The race is far from decided and indeed has not yet begun. “Huddling in a hotel in suburban Washington”, writes Tom Hamburger for the Washington Post, a group of evangelical leaders “held an extended debate about whether to support Cruz or Rubio and in the end voted for the Texan”. Next was Cruz with 28 percent, Rubio with 13 percent and Christie with 6 percent. Right now the wheel is Donald Trump. In a tweet Tuesday night, Trump called the media “dishonest” for its characterization of his remarks and said that the term he used was “not vulgar”.

Turkey says 8 migrants drown off coast of Izmir
A volunteer dressed as a clown gives balloons to refugee children at Victoria square in Athens , on Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2015. The wood boat capsized in high waves as it tried to cross from Turkey’s Izmir province to the Greek island of Lesbos.

It’s Cruz who has sidestepped Trump most determinedly.

Guus Hiddink: Chelsea players need to show “great desire”
In the two sessions I’ve overseen so far, I can not complain about the attitude or ambition. It means things are not going well. “But anyhow I’m glad to be back”.

The latest figures put Trump at 35.1 percent support in the much followed RealClearPolitics.com polling average, his highest mark yet. It’s a point that has not been lost on Cruz as he rethinks the architecture of the race. “They’re confused their golden children are not succeeding in the polls”. First, there’s the possibility that this CNN poll is the outlier, not the Quinnipiac one. “Look, I think what it is is, obviously, there’s a difference between principle and calculation”.

“I don’t believe Trump will ever be president, but a lot of people believe what he has to say”, said 49-year-old Erik Klerk, a military veteran once stationed in Pensacola.

All of this, of course, leads us back to Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump. But what’s the excuse of Trump supporters nationwide? Almost 60 percent of voters who picked a preferred candidate said that they remain open to changing their mind.

Lawler said it didn t seem to matter to some potential voters that Trump lacks insight in some fields.

Between Trump and Cruz, however, the level of voter certainty was dramatically different. It couldn’t be more transparent if Cruz had been caught on tape at a private fundraiser acknowledging that it was part of his plan to defeat Trump – and, in fact, he was! “I’m never going to forget the time he walked into a room with Chuck Schumer and came out supporting amnesty”.

To avid followers of the blood sport of politics, few things are more delicious than a well-phrased political insult. Trump more or less stood with them, noting his opposition to the Iraq War.

In recent weeks, though, it is Rubio who has placed himself more in conflict with Cruz than Trump has. He was pleased to finally meet the Florida senator. “And we all need to call him out on that, frankly”. That it ended up producing a phrase that is more jarring than saying “fucked” ever would be is just one of the more comical results of this freaky conservative emphasis on form over content.

Anyway, back to my earlier point, we should take anything said by these “Republican insiders” with a peck, or maybe a bushel of salt. “The establishment is enthusiastically unifying behind Marco Rubio”, he continues.

New Hampshire was supposed to be the state where the party establishment reasserted itself against not only Trump but the party’s tea party and evangelical wings. He is scheduled to wrap up the tour Wednesday with two rallies in Oklahoma, one in the morning in Tulsa then the other in the afternoon in Oklahoma City. In the act of degrading women, Trump has degraded all of political discourse.
