And Wilkins, whose most recent stint with the Blues’ backroom team ended in 2010, reckons Hiddink – who led the club to 2009 FA Cup glory – is the ideal man for the role.
“Thank you doesn’t seem enough”.
“Today is a sad day”.
“Gonna miss you Boss”.
“Ten years ago you were laughing at Italian clubs sacking their managers every year and now it’s happening in the Premier League”. His career started in Benfica back in 2000, then went on with Uniao de Leiria prior to his coaching time in his homeland, which ended in victory with FC Porto back in 2002, and the Portuguese club went on to win the UEFA Champions League title back in 2004.
“The club is working vigorously and actively to make sure that the situation with regards to a managerial appointment is taken care of as soon as possible”, Emenalo said.

“Anybody, any fan, who loves the club or has any affiliation with the club can understand this club is in trouble”.
The messy departure of Dr Eva Carneiro, now suing the club, after being branded “naive” by Mourinho in August, has been viewed externally as causing extra unrest.
Despite claims that Jose Mourinho had ‘lost the dressing room, ‘ Terry’s sentiments were echoed by a number of other Chelsea players including Cesc Fabregas and Cesar Azpilicueta.
Whoever is in charge of Chelsea for the visit of Sam Allardyce’s side will have to coax a vastly improved performance from a group of players who have proved alarmingly inconsistent this season.
Chelsea announced Mourinho’s departure in a statement on Thursday afternoon.

However, former Red Devils midfielder Giles doesn’t believe United view Mourinho as a future manager of the 20-time English champions after the club snubbed the Chelsea legend following Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement in 2013.
