Kobe sits with sore shoulder as Thunder rout Lakers, 118-78
Kobe Bryant’s illustrious 20-year career is “epic”, according to Kevin Durant as the Oklahoma City Thunder took on the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday. We didn’t come to compete. Duncan is widely considered one of the greatest power forwards to ever play the game, and putting him into the grouping would have fit.

ABOUT THE THUNDER (17-9): Durant went for 25 points against the Cavaliers and is shooting 55.7 percent from the floor over the last seven games. He said he would play Tuesday at Denver.
James Harden and Dwight Howard produced double-doubles and the Houston Rockets recorded their fourth consecutive win over the Los Angeles Clippers, 107-97, at Toyota Center.
“I try to look at my legacy and how it impacts the future of the game”, Bryant said on a conference call with global media on Monday(Tuesday NZT).
Scott’s awful relationship with D’Angelo Russell and pernicious worship of a struggling Kobe Bryant is already well documented. Meanwhile, Westbrook was at his best finding teammates, as he finished with his 18th double-double of the season (13 points, 11 assists) in the Thunder’s 118-78 win Saturday evening.
The Lakers announced about 90 minutes before the game that Bryant wouldn’t play due to the sore shoulder.
“The key really is loving what you do”, Bryant said. This just feels like another lost season for so many players on this team, while the franchise keeps everything on hold just so one player can get one last shot at glory, while the others are starving for a coach who can actually teach them something.
Playing in his 20th season, Bryant, 37, pointed out that he had “pretty heavy-duty” surgery on that same shoulder after tearing his right rotator cuff in late January during a dunk against the New Orleans Pelicans. Bryant, who managed to dunk in his last outing, referred to that moment as “personally gratifying” because it embodied his return from a series of major injuries that have hampered the twilight of the five-time champion’s career. “Lol”, he wrote. It has-been some time since we heard Johnson point out the Lakers on Twitter.
Bryant said if the Melbourne teenager does become a Laker the city’s legion of fans expect just one thing each season – an NBA Championship.
Bryant and the semi-retired Ray Allen are the only two cagers left from the very talented 1996 batch.

Garnett, now in his 21st season is the league’s longest tenured player who was drafted in the 1995 class. “If you love getting ready, you love training and you love preparing just as much as you love the end result of winning even more so the end result of winning, then you know you have something truly, truly special”.
