Clerk names no longer on U.S. marriage form

In issuing the executive order, Bevin fulfills a campaign promise that he made in an effort to appeal to social conservatives in a competitive race against former Attorney General Jack Conway (D).

Scott’s awful relationship with D’Angelo Russell and pernicious worship of a struggling Kobe Bryant is already well documented. Bryant and the semi-retired Ray Allen are the only two cagers left from the very talented 1996 batch.

The thrice-divorced Kentucky clerk who spent five days in jail for refusing marriage licenses to same-sex couples admits that she’s no matrimonial model.

MA gas prices drop to mark
It’s expected that this increase will be temporary and the prices will eventually decrease as we head into the new year. The nationwide average price for a gallon of regular gasoline Monday fell below for the first time since March 2009.

Davis repeatedly urged then Governor Steve Beshear, a Democrat, to remove clerk names from the form or provide other relief so she would not violate religious beliefs.

Trump’s Support with GOP Voters Soars to 39 Percent in New Poll
But consider this feat: Cruz has managed to maintain a fragile truce with Trump while surging past him in the crucial first state. In a July CNN poll , just 51% of Republicans viewed Trump favorably, compared with 40% who saw him in an unfavorable light.

Asked if Gov. Bevin would take further steps concerning marriage licenses or if he would attempt to obstruct the Supreme Court ruling’s implementation in the state, Ditto told BuzzFeed News, “He does not believe the government should be involved in the marriage business whatsoever”. “The name of the county clerk is no longer required to appear on the form”, Bevins’ office said in a statement. “It’s a clear signal to Kim Davis and her camp that if you object to doing portions of your job – even if you’re an elected official – the executive branch will give you an out”.

Davis, citing “God’s authority”, refused for weeks to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples, and later any couples. Nonetheless, last month they sought to have her conviction for contempt overturned, claiming the judge who sent her to jail was “threatening to hold her hostage indefinitely as a prisoner of her conscience”. Critics of Davis, like columnist and LGBT rights advocate Dan Savage, say that her behavior makes her anti-gay actions that much harder to swallow.

Sharp said the ACLU would continue to challenge government officials who disregard the law in favor of promoting their own personal beliefs to the detriment of the rights of others.

“Mr. Bevin staunchly supported Ms. Davis’s position and vowed during his campaign to take the action he announced Tuesday, on his 15th day in office”.

Bevin also rescinded Beshear’s recent order restoring voting rights to most felons in the state.

Bevin’s order doesn’t affect current employees who benefited from the raise, but according to the release, “relieves executive branch agencies and vendors of the obligation to comply with the higher minimum wage”.
