They see this as a rivalry game against an opponent that uses questionable tactics.

“I’ve decided that I’m entering the 2016 NFL Draft”. It’ll be their fifth appearance in the Las Vegas Bowl – but they won’t have leading rusher Devontae Booker (1,261 yards, 11 touchdowns), who suffered a season-ending knee injury November 14 against Arizona, and might be without leading receiver Britain Covey (41 receptions-518 yards-four TDs), who missed the team’s regular-season finale with an ankle injury.

Montreal Impact “willing to accommodate” Chelsea role for Didier Drogba
Guus Hiddink has urged the Chelsea squad to “look in the mirror ” as they attempt to transform their faltering season. He said his return to Stamford Bridge was a surprise but that results had forced the club’s owners to make a decision.

Both teams come in motivated for different reasons and that will make this a fun game to watch.

No. 20 Utah 35, BYU 28: Utah took advantage of a disastrous start by BYU, getting five first-quarter touchdowns on turnovers – including two interceptions by Tevin Carter – before holding on to defeat the Cougars in the Las Vegas Bowl on Saturday.

It was the 12th bowl win for Utah in their past 13 appearances, and the ninth win out of 10 bowl appearances for Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham. We’ve got some things to fix with our offense, there’s no doubt about that…. Having been a BYU player himself, Sitake said he plans to “share that family atmosphere that we had when I played”.

Tech took the lead for good Dixon’s second TD reception.

Former BYU head coach LaVell Edwards greets Kalani Sitake after Sitake was introduced as the new football head coach for Brigham Young University during a news conference, Monday, Dec. 21, 2015 at the BYU Broadcasting Building in Provo, Utah.

Thanks to five BYU turnovers on their first five possessions of the game, the Cougars fell behind Utah 35-0 in the first 11 minutes as Utah turned each turnover into a touchdown – two directly via pick sixes. Utah senior linebacker Gionni Paul led relentless pressure that forced BYU freshman quarterback Tanner Mangum into a fumble and three interceptions to start the game. Out of the break, the Cougars strung together three more touchdowns and held the Utes (10-3) scoreless to make it 35-28 with 3:23 remaining in the game. Mangum would bring BYU back, throwing two touchdown passes and rushing for another to get the Cougars close. Peck’s touchdown reception was the first by a BYU tight end this year. “Everybody had the mentality that we would somehow find a way to get back in it”. The Utes beat the Cougars 35-28.

In a statistical quirk, BYU actually outgained Utah 89-69 in the first quarter.

During Sitake’s time as the defensive coordinator, Utah played in four bowl games, winning three. “We’ve got to do a better job next time we’re up 35-0 and hopefully we won’t have the same result, as far as the let down”. The Cougars sliced up the Utah secondary for 315 yards, which triggered their rally attempt. The game didn’t unfold that way, so the Utes didn’t have to throw the ball that much.

The reported move, also confirmed by Sports Illustrated, came hours before BYU and Utah were scheduled to kick off at the Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl.

With Bronco Mendenhall taking a majority of the current BYU assistant coaches and coordinators with him to Virginia, it will be up to Sitake to now not only have to step up and lead this team but to possibly rebuild the school’s entire football program. Then there are teams like Georgia St., who have never been to a bowl game.

Mendenhall said other teams might have simply folded rather than try for a comeback that seemed impossible. The Mountaineers (11-2) were playing in their first bowl game since moving up to FBS.

Sitake will have plenty of opportunities to prove he was the right hire next season as the Cougars schedule includes a neutral-site game against LSU in Houston, home games against Utah, Wisconsin and Boise State and a trip to Mississippi State.
