Top moments at Oakland Coliseum since Raiders return in 1995
Still, with the threat of relocation looming, the Raiders could be inspired to play their best football in front the famed “Black Hole” and the rest of their fan base.

Charles Woodson will play the final home game of his career Thursday night, and the Raiders are planning to give him the farewell he deserves.
Woodson said he told owner Mark Davis, McKenzie and coach Jack Del Rio of his decision earlier Monday. They love this team.
The play-offs are out of reach but this still loosks well worth a second glance as the Raiders try and complete a rather unusual hat-trick against their AFC West rival that encompasses the wider social aspect of the game.
For the thirteenth consecutive year the silver and black will miss out on the postseason after they fell to the Packers (10-4), 30-20 on Sunday in Oakland. It’s happened to them before.
Woodson’s second season featured much of the same, though reasons for team optimism emerged with a 34-year-old Rich Gannon and a young runner named Tyrone Wheatley who rushed for eight touchdowns.
The San Diego Chargers are considering sharing a new stadium in Carson with the Raiders and the St. Louis Rams are thinking of moving to a new stadium in Inglewood, which is also in the Los Angeles area.
Teams that want to apply to relocate to a new city may do so after January 1 and National Football League owners will consider proposals at a special meeting on January 12 and 13.
Quarterback Derek Carr said uncertainty will be a factor of how the Raiders react.
If they bring that energy, they will have a chance against the Raiders, but Charles Woodson is going to make sure that he goes out on top in his final home game as a Raider. Yet this week, he announced he will depart the game as a player after this season.
The lone bright spot in the doldrums of this Chargers’ season has been the play of quarterback Philip Rivers, who has virtually carried this team on his shoulders. Edge rusher Khalil Mack has 15 sacks, needing one more to match the franchise record set by Derrick Burgess.
However, with the intense rivalry that exists between the San Diego Chargers and Oakland Raiders, don’t expect either squad to hold anything back when they meet on the gridiron in this contest.
During his Heisman Trophy season at the University of Michigan, Woodson was a defensive stalwart that dabbled on offense, racking up more than 300 receiving yards and three touchdowns in Maize and Blue. He also caught two passes. We may have something up our sleeve.
Impressively, despite this lack of a supporting cast, Rivers has still managed a 0.16 Passing NEP per drop back that ranks him as the 11th best rate in the league among passers with 200 or more attempts.
“I remember the pass to Eric Parker up the sideline”.
“It’s really been an honor just to play with a guy like that, especially in my first few years”, said Murray. “He was laying on me and I had thrown a completion and it was kind of like, ‘man, I watched him and Brett Favre and I’m actually playing with these guys”‘. Murray has 956 yards and needs just 44 to be the first Oakland player to hit that milestone since Darren McFadden in 2010.

The Raiders took a 37-6 lead into the fourth quarter, and the game was essentially out of reach at halftime when Oakland led by 24 points. That would entail beating the Chargers on Thursday and the Chiefs in Kansas City in the season finale.
