Ted Cruz hosts rally at Farragut High School
Despite the fact his visit to Oklahoma City Community College was the last stop on a Bible Belt tour, Senator and Presidential Ted Cruz (R-TX) brought energy to a rally on Wednesday.

“You look at him”. Rubio and others have questioned Cruz’s stance on legalization, saying that in 2013 he offered an amendment to the “Gang of Eight” immigration reform bill that would have supported legalization.
According to a Quinnipiac University poll released Tuesday, Cruz has surged nationally to just 4 percentage points behind frontrunner Donald Trump.
Here’s Paul’s new attack ad against Cruz, followed by a 2013 interview rediscovered by Eliana Johnson in which Cruz says, when asked what he’d do with the 11 million illegals already here, “I think there probably could be a compromise on that” so long as citizenship was off the table. But it turns out, Republicans are anxious Rubio isn’t putting in enough time or effort on the campaign trail, either. A summer bus tour preceded Cruz’s Christmas fly-around in the Bible Belt’s buckle.
Rubo admitted in last week’s Republican debate that he still supports amnesty now, Cruz said.
The Texas Republican was a senator for only 27 months before launching his presidential campaign in March 2015.
The crowd laughed often as Cruz knocked his rivals.
“We’re seeing conservatives, evangelicals, Libertarians, young people, Hispanics, African-Americans, Jewish voters, women and Reagan Democrats all coming together”, he said. “But I want someone who is a fiscal conservative and there is no one like Cruz”.
Christian leaders have especially criticized Trump after he suggested a ban on all Muslims entering the US following the recent terror attack carried out by Islamic extremists in San Bernardino, California that killed 14. And Cruz’s super PACs have been similarly slow to invest in Iowa-specific messaging, though they recently launched a $600,000 early-state media plan. “Cruz had a chance to stand up for conservative principles on stage in Vegas, and he folded like a gambler with a busted flush”.
“The republican leadership made a decision to do was whip votes for chuck schemer, Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi”, Cruz said.
“When you spend your whole time telling people that you’re a clear talker and you say what you mean and everyone else is a sellout but you’re the only purist, I think it’s fair to say, ‘Well hold on a second, here’s where you’ve been on the past on some issues and here’s where you are now, ‘” he said.
Cruz, a graduate of Harvard’s law school, also assured voters that he would “rebuild” the nation’s military, improve health care benefits, and take on foreign policy challenges for a nation that has “receded” from its leadership role during Obama’s administration.
At one point earlier this month, Cruz seemed to raise the possibility that the momentum behind Carson and Trump was slowing. The senator talked to supporters about his goals for the White House.
Rubio also panned Cruz for reversing himself by voting against $3 billion in cuts to a crop insurance program.
As he began the trip, Cruz took steps to fix damage sustained in a fight with Florida Sen.

“If your opponent doesn’t score a goal, you can’t lose, and he hasn’t scored a goal”, the senior Cruz campaign official said of Rubio’s offensive. New Hampshire is not that big a state-it’s not like he’d have to get on a plane to get from event to event.
