Military Tracks Storybook Flight Of St. Nick For 60th Year

NORAD tracks Santa’s sleigh ride from the Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado.
For the past 60 Christmas Eves, the folks at NORAD’s command centre in Colorado have put national defence aside for 24 hours to track Santa’s journey around the Earth. All aircraft have a code to identify themselves. “We get a lot of calls from Europe, Australia and New Zealand”, said NORAD’s Stacey Knott, who has organized the Santa tracking for three years.
