Israeli forces killed three Palestinian assailants in separate incidents in the occupied West Bank on Thursday, Israeli authorities said, as a 12-week surge in street violence showed no sign of abating.

Two security guards were stabbed on Thursday in an attack at an industrial park near the settlement of Ariel, in the West Bank.
One victim suffered serious wounds and a second guard was listed in moderate condition, both with stab wounds to their upper bodies, according to police and the Magen David Adom rescue organization.
The second Palestinian was killed near the city of al-Khalil (Hebron) in the southern West Bank.
A spokeswoman for the Israeli army said the forces were “assaulted by a violent mob” of Palestinians shooting at them and throwing rocks, Molotov cocktails and explosive devices.
Two Palestinians stabbed and killed an Israeli and seriously injured another at the entrance to Jerusalem’s old city before being shot and killed by border police in the latest incident in a wave of violence.
Among the drivers of the bloodshed was a July 31 arson attack by suspected Jewish zealots that killed a Palestinian toddler and his parents, and Israel’s failure to crack the case.
The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs has voiced concerns over the excessive use of force and “extrajudicial killing” of Palestinians by Israeli forces.
A number of them have attempted attacks with kitchen knives in what some analysts have described as virtual suicide missions.
Bilal Zayd, 23, was from the Qalandiya refugee camp between Jerusalem and Ramallah, where clashes broke out Thursday between Israeli security forces and Palestinians.
Palestinians have grown frustrated with Israel’s occupation, the complete lack of progress in peace efforts and their own fractured leadership.
Bezalel Smotrich, whose Jewish Home party is a powerful partner of Netanyahu’s conservative Likud, voiced suspicion about the leak of the wedding video, which Channel 10 said had originally been seized by state investigators.
One of the victims died of stab wounds sustained during the attack, according to Israeli police. One soldier was lightly injured. The firebombing killed a Palestinian couple and their 18-month-old son.
During questioning, it emerged that the cell was led by a 24-year-old Palestinian from the Kalkiya area, 24-year-old Ahmed Azam, the Shin Bet said.

At least 120 Palestinians have died by Israeli fire in the same period, including 82 said by Israel to be attackers.
