There is a slight chance of a spotty shower Thursday evening, and that rain could change to light snow west of the city, but accumulations would be minimal.
As for Christmas, forecasters say a deepening low pressure system over James Bay will track towards the North Pole Christmas Eve, leaving behind balmy weather.
