NORAD has been keeping tabs on Santa Claus for 60 years.
If you don’t want to download the app, you can pay a visit to NORAD’s Santa Tracker website.

Retired Colonel Harry Shoup, NORAD’s First Santa Tracker and the ad that got him in the business.
Flooded with calls from eager kids, quick-thinking military agents used NORAD’s radar to find Santa sailing through the night sky.
These days NORAD employees and their families volunteer their time to take calls and emails from children around the world.
Santa and his nine reindeer began their journey early this morning in Samoa and continue to to make their way around the world delivering toys to all the good little girls and boys.
As a result of this analysis information, the program can project and scale volunteer staffing, telephone equipment, and computer equipment needs for Christmas Eve.
“Captain Shoop picked up the phone in 1955 and played along, and we’ve been tracking Santa ever since”, Captain Miller explained. And since he’s a thoroughly modern Santa, you can also track his path through apps, at NORAD’s Facebook page or by emailing [email protected].
Starting on December 24 at 2:01 a.m. EST, website visitors can watch Santa make preparations for his flight.
