Kobe Bryant and Kevin Durant exchange shoes after game
Not long after the Los Angeles Lakers won in Denver on Tuesday, a holiday-season miracle in its own right, someone asked if he’d be ready for Oklahoma City on Wednesday.

“I didn’t do anything”, he said via ESPN. “How much ready do you need to get?” The Thunder led by 38 at one point, and actually the Lakers were up by 3 at one point in this one, until giving up a huge, game-changing run.
No doubting that he will go down as one of the greatest to ever play the game, but for someone who has been the focal point of a team and their offense, he has been terrible, according to The Los Angeles Times.
The game was lost late in the second quarter and into the third, when the Lakers’ offense completely stalled. “I mean, you can train a cat to bark all you want, but the damn cat’s not going to bark”. “It makes no sense to be yelling at it. It’s as simple as that”.
He’s shown a few signs of his old self over the last five, averaging 23.8 points and shooting 46.2 percent while the Lakers have won twice.
The Lakers trailed by only 11 at halftime Wednesday.
Bryant took solace in the fact that he got Durant and Russell Westbrook off their feet with his pump fakes.
“Listen, you have to be realistic about what we’re facing and where we are right now as a team and as an organization”, Bryant said. “That’s just the honest-to-goodness truth”, he added.
Kobe Bryant, who didn’t play against the Thunder in Oklahoma City last Saturday, had 19 points, but made just 7 of 22 shots from the field. It was also blocked by Durant.
Bryant had a rough first quarter with Durant guarding him.
“But that being said, we’ll see how everything goes”, ended Bryant. Westbrook and Serge Ibaka each scored 14 points in the half, offsetting 17 by Bryant.
For comparison’s sake, Durant had 21 points on seven-for-nine shooting.
The Turkish centre had 16 points and 11 rebounds off the bench, with Russell Westbrook top-scoring for the Thunder with 23 points ahead of Kevin Durant (21 points). “That’s the type of stuff that I’ll miss – the competition That’s the fun stuff”. That 118-78 embarrassment was the Lakers’ worst loss to the Oklahoma City/Seattle franchise.
And as the schedule ticks down, Bryant is looking forward to more matchups of that ilk, and he mentioned Dwyane Wade, LeBron James and James Harden by name.
About two weeks after the win in D.C., the Lakers beat the Milwaukee Bucks with no. 24 scoring 22 points and dishing six assists in three quarters.

Thunder: The Thunder outscored the Lakers 58-18 in the paint through the first three quarters before Donovan and Lakers coach Byron Scott each rested all of their starters throughout the fourth.
